2017 Liebster Award

2017 Liebster Award Winner and Nominations

Conscious Earth Mama has received a 2017 Liebster Award!

Nominated by?

I was nominated by the lovely Bri of The Millineal Soul. Bri’s blog is about spirituality and consciousness and the many ways to put it into practice. I love visiting her blog to find inspiration and getting a glimpse of her insight as she implements the law of attraction in order to manifest her dreams! I definitely recommend checking out her experiences!

What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is a way to give recognition to new bloggers. It’s so great because the beginning days of blogging takes so much hard work, and it’s rewarding to hit all of the little milestones when you’re first starting out. Having acknowledgement from the Liebster Award gives credit to all those months of hard work.

My Nominations

Each person nominated should nominate 5 other blogs, with less than 200 followers. (Since “followers” did not specify what platform, I chose to go with subscribers, and stick to blogs that I know are new!)

What has been your biggest challenge with blogging?

My biggest challenge with blogging has been on the technical side of things. If I have to add a new category, change my theme, install a plugin, etc, I feel like someone removed me from earth and put me on mars. Haha. I’m SO lost! It’s totally worth it to hire someone to do all of the IT stuff so I can focus my energy on the things I’m actually good at.

What is your number one tip for other bloggers?

Don’t give up! The beginning stages of blogging can be really hard! Don’t get discouraged if you’re not seeing immediate results with your page views, email list, affiliate marketing, etc. Over the last two years that I have been blogging, I think I gave up about 6-7 times and went at least a month or more on a hiatus and then came back to my blog frustrated that it still wasn’t going anywhere. Had I kept going and was patient with myself, I would have progressed much faster. So no matter where you are with your blog, give yourself some credit. You’ve worked really hard thus far. Don’t stop!

What are your hobbies other than blogging?

I’m in love with nature and any sort of activity (except running) that puts me outdoors will make my heart smile. I grew up rock climbing, hiking, fishing, white water rafting, camping, etc. Nature is my favorite playground! I’m also a dedicated Yogi!

What successful entrepreneur to do you admire and why?

I absolutely love Tony Robbins! He’s been such an inspiration to me because he started from nothing and became one of the top motivational speakers. I went to one of his seminars back in 2013 and it changed my life. Seriously! More than motivational speaking, he also has you practice the change that you want to make. I’m always referring back to one of his books or audio series to put myself in check when I’m starting to feel down and sluggish.

Who is your favorite blogger and why?

I will have to say Ruth Soukup from Living Well Spending Less. I really admire her because she was so dedicated to reaching her goals that she would wake up at 4:00am every morning to work on her blog. Being able to pull off the success that she has while also being a mother of two is incredibly inspiring to me. Ruth’s journey of blogging gives me hope that I will one day be as prosperous as she is because I’m starting from the exact same place she did.

Tell us about your blog and why you started blogging.

My blog is about living in the way nature had intended for us and being conscious while doing so. I share insights about natural parenting, home remedies, eco-friendly solutions and holistic wellness.

I initially started blogging because I wanted to share with my friends and family about the alternative lifestyle that I live and also be able to have a sort of family chronicle to share with my kids (because it’s mostly about them) when they’re older.

Item you can’t live without

My camera! No, I don’t mean some fancy camera (although I can’t wait to get one), I mean the camera on my phone. Haha. I couldn’t imagine going a day without being able to take pictures of my kids and all of their precious moments. Our babies really grow up too quickly and being able to snap a zillion photos of them is my way of slowing down the time that seems to pass all too quickly for this nostalgic mama.

What and who motivate you to write?

I’m motivated to write because I actually do love writing. I’m very much an introvert and writing is a way for me to feel connected. I’m secretly a blabbermouth that’s dying to talk someone’s ear off if I wasn’t so shy.

I also have a love for helping people. It’s such a good feeling to hear when someone has used one of my suggestions that helped them in some way. 🙂

Here’s to bloggers supporting other bloggers! Again, I am so thankful to receive the award and look forward to reading my nominees responses!
